Services Officer Part Time

SERVICES OFFICER – Castle Douglas Community Centre – guaranteed 12.5 hours employment per week, on basis of 2.5 hours per day with normal start time 5.00pm, this may vary with prior agreement. There will be additional hours available, as required, and particularly during the busy months, normally September to April. Salary rate is £12.60 per hour plus we offer membership of the NEST pension scheme.

Castle Douglas Community Centre has been supporting various groups and other organisations since 1989 and is currently home to circa 50 different groups and charities with an annual footfall of circa 14,600

The role includes the following duties

:-Liaising with the User Groups or their representatives as and when required.

:-Help manage the bookings diary and record additions/changes in the diary

:-Cleaning the toilets and offices primarily in St John’s Annexe but also as required in the main building.

:-Setting up rooms in accordance with the User Group’s requirements then returning to standard setting at the end of the meeting.

:- Providing tea/coffee & biscuit facilities for the User Groups as required and tidying up thereafter.

:-Taking payment from the evening groups as required.

:-Undertaking basic book keeping/recording of footfall figures

:- Checking buildings at the close and then undertaking the security requirements before locking up.

:-Providing extended cover during colleagues holiday periods

:-An ability to undertake some basic property repairs would be an advantage but not essential
