Dairy Person Wanted
We are looking for a dairy person to join our existing team to milk and help manage our herd of 500 cross-bred Autumn block calving cows. We milk through a 24 point herringbone parlour with automatic cluster flush milking twice a day at 4am & 4pm.
During busier spells there will be opportunities for additional herd work, if desired, with possibilities of calf rearing and other dairy herd related tasks.
If required there is a possibility of accommodation with a 4 bedroom cottage available off farm.
The successful candidate(s) must be:-
- reliable
- have good timekeeping
- team player
- have a calm nature around cows
Whilst previous experience is preferred it isn’t essential as on the job training can be provided if someone shows the enthusiasm to learn.
