What’s the Job?
We’re looking for a motivated and innovative individual to join our Commercial Training team to become our Electrical and Renewable Skills Lead. This new role will develop and deliver new and existing courses for the electrical and renewable sectors. In addition to this, the role holder will also engage with our local and national employers. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and influence the expansion of this provision to support the development of local and national businesses as the sector changes to meet the new demands for renewable technologies.
The Commercial Development and Delivery Team are responsible for delivering a variety of professional qualifications, including certificated and bespoke courses, in a College that aims to be one step ahead.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone to take the lead on development and delivery of Electrical and Renewable qualifications. This person will require a background in electrical and renewable technologies, hold appropriate professional certification and ideally have experience of delivering training, either certification or company specific. While representing the College, you will offer high quality customer service in all you do.
We are looking for a professional and creative team player, an individual who understands commercial course delivery, who knows how to get things done.
To succeed in the role, you will have some or all of the following:
· You will be educated to SCQF Level 8 or have relevant skills and experience in the Electrical Industry
· Experience of working in the renewables sector is essential
· Experience of delivering certificated training is desirable
· Good/ Excellent skills in project management, organisational skills and partnership working
· Strong customer service/ organisation/ teamworking/ relationship building skills.
· Good/ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience using MS Office, in particular outlook, word, excel and powerpoint
· This post is required to be based on the Dumfries Campus, with some homeworking possible
