What’s the Job?
Support Technician to join the Curriculum Hospitality team on a part year 38 weeks August – June – 08:45-16:30 standard working hours, Monday – Friday with occasional evening work as required.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for the Support Technician with a sound knowledge, experience and understanding of the Hospitality industry. You will be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach while also being capable of setting up kitchens in preparation for lessons. You will prepare materials, monitor equipment and support with the everyday classroom activities supporting the staff and students. You will be a highly motivated individual that can work effectively within the team.
To succeed in the role, you will have some or all of the following:
· This role would suit someone working at SCQF Level 6
· You will be educated to SCQF Level 6 or have relevant skills and experience in a relevant Level 6 food related qualification.
· Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is essential.
· A thorough knowledge of the relevant curriculum and the ability to perform a technical support role to contribute to effective learning.
· HACCP is desirable.
· Experience of working in a similar support role is essential.
· Strong customer service/ organisation/ teamworking/ relationship building skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience using MS Office is essential.
· This post is required to be based fully on Campus

If you’re successful in securing the role, your employment will be conditional on the college receiving two satisfactory references and background checks.
