Position Overview

As an IT Engineering Operative, you will play a key role in supporting the Engineering team by completing pre-builds, cleaning and scanning IT equipment, and conducting quality checks to ensure all systems meet required standards.

This fast-paced role is ideal for someone practical and detail-oriented, offering a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with IT hardware while developing skills in maintaining and preparing systems to high-quality standards.

The position is office-based in Dalbeattie. Our standard operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities

Testing, inspection, and recording of servers and IT components
Assisting with the processing of customer orders as required
Stripping, cleaning, and reassembling equipment according to instructions.
Fault finding and repair on servers and IT components when cost-effective.
Building customer servers to specified requirements.
Carrying out quality assurance checks on inbound products and customer orders
Accurate recording of IT components
Skills, knowledge and experience

Ability to thrive under pressure, manage priorities effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Interest in and familiarity with IT (desirable)
Excellent attention to detail
Competence with Microsoft Office Outlook & Excel
Strong team player with the ability to use their own initiative
Problem-solving attitude
