Product Controller
Job Description
We’re looking for a Product Controller to join our team. This role supports the sales, purchasing, and marketing of our products. As a Product Controller, you will conduct market analysis and gather data to create and maintain reports that highlight sales opportunities.
You will work towards becoming a product expert, mastering product specifications, performance, and compatibilities. As a result, you will gain an understanding of the refurbished IT sales market.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates initiative, is detail-oriented, enjoys data entry, and is eager to learn. You’ll collaborate with our existing sales, purchasing, and product teams in our open-plan head office in Dalbeattie. You will eventually become more involved in helping other departments purchase and sell your product lines.
The ideal candidate should be confident working with Microsoft Excel and have a forward thinking sales and marketing mindset. The role will be primarily office-based in either our Dalbeattie head office or our Bellshill office. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
There are 2 positions available for this role.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
• Maintain and record data on product sales, stock levels and pricing.
• Accurately describe products on Microsoft Business Central.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to accurately design listings for products.
• Research and review product pricing.
• Analyse and input data to produce reports to highlight problem stock and encourage sales opportunities.
• Maintain and grow own product knowledge through regular research.
• Liaise with purchasing team to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Contribute creative ideas for developing impactful sales and marketing content.

The ideal applicant will have the following experience and knowledge:
• A natural curiosity for technology and IT systems
• Excellent communication and data entry skills.
• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to fine details.
• Proactive and positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to get the job done.
• Ideally experience working in a sales environment.
• Working knowledge of Outlook an advantage.
• Ability to problem solve in a positive manner.
• Good planning & organising skills and ability to prioritise.
