Kitchen Assistant NEW

We’re recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to help us in our Waterfront Café for the 2022 season. The GAC kitchen serves a wide range of customers including large school groups and café service throughout the season to families, course attendees and small groups. Some evening shifts for advanced bookings are required, but the late shift would generally be away by 5pm in the summer. Duties include:

– Meal preparation and baking

– Record keeping

– Money handling

– Ensuring compliance with health & hygiene regulations

– Serving customers

– Cleaning and washing up

A friendly, customer focused attitude is essential. All staff have access to the activity centre’s equipment in their free time and we pride ourselves on cultivating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for both staff and customers. We have a vibrant team and often run social events after work, either out on the water or going to the beach, mountain biking or visiting another business in the evening. It’s hard and challenging work but in a beautiful environment and we hope, as part of a happy and motivated team.

The position is seasonal, running until October. You will work an average of 5 day weeks including shift work covering early evenings and weekends. On site accommodation is available if required. Experience is not necessary as training can be provided.
