Due to rapid growth and increasing demand, we’re seeking a driven and experienced Head of Marketing to join our senior team and play a key role in our continued success.
About the Role:
Iron & Pine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Marketing to join our team in Dalbeattie. In this key role within the business you will shape and execute our comprehensive marketing strategy, directly contributing to the growth of our brand and sales. This full-time role offers the chance to immediately dive into managing all existing marketing activities, overseeing the entire marketing function, including the management of both internal team members and external agencies.
As Head of Marketing, you will own and oversee all core elements of the marketing function, driving strategy and execution across the following key areas:
Marketing Strategy: You will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and implementation of all marketing initiatives, collaborating with the Marketing Manager, Sales Manager and Co-Founders to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives. This includes defining target audiences, setting marketing goals, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
Digital Marketing: This encompasses a range of critical digital channels and tactics, including:
Social Media Marketing: Develop and implement engaging content strategies across key social media platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). This includes creating high-quality, platform-specific content (text, images, videos, stories), managing content calendars, fostering online communities, analysing performance metrics, staying ahead of social media trends, and planning, executing, and managing paid social media campaigns, tracking and reporting on KPIs.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO): Optimising all marketing copy (website content, social media posts, email newsletters, etc.) for search engines to drive organic visibility and traffic.
Website Management: Maintain and update the company website using WordPress, creating and editing website content (pages, blog posts, landing pages), collaborating with developers on website improvements, and ensuring optimal website performance and user experience.
Email Marketing: Manage email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp and/or HubSpot. This includes developing email content, designing templates, segmenting email lists, and tracking campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions).
YouTube Channel Growth: Develop and implement a YouTube content strategy, creating and editing engaging video content, optimising videos for search and discoverability, managing the company’s YouTube channel, and engaging with viewers.
Advertising: Develop and manage advertising campaigns across various platforms (digital, print, etc.), overseeing all advertising efforts and optimising campaigns for maximum ROI.
Content Marketing: Creating compelling content across various formats to attract and engage target audiences. This includes:
Copywriting: Crafting persuasive and engaging copy for a variety of marketing materials, including website content, social media posts, email newsletters, award submission brochures, and press releases.
Client Case Study Development: Travel to client locations to gather content and develop compelling case studies that demonstrate the value and impact of Iron & Pine’s solutions.
Public Relations: Develop and execute PR strategies to elevate brand visibility and reputation, building and maintaining relationships with media contacts, writing and distributing press releases and media kits, and securing media coverage for company news and events.
Event Marketing: Attend relevant trade events and industry gatherings to network, promote the company, and gather market insights.
