Location: We are currently looking for volunteers in the following areas to support our tenants and communities:

- Langholm
- Gretna/Eastriggs
- Sanquhar
- Thornhill/Penpont
- Moniaive
- Castle Douglas/Kirkcudbright
- Newton Stewart
- Whithorn
- Portpatrick
Hours: 1-2 hours per week
About the role:
This role will provide a confidential point of contact within their local community for tenants who require some support and assistance. This a rewarding role, suited to those who like to give back to their communities, providing a safe space for tenants to chat and receive information on appropriate agencies for further help and support.
What’s really important is that you have a strong commitment to help your local community and the ability to maintain confidentiality. This role would be suited to anyone looking to give back to their community and equally, someone who may be looking to gain skills and experience within the housing or third sector and charitable sector.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a good listener
- Be comfortable signposting to appropriate agencies
- Liaise with Loreburn’s Sustaining Communities and Neighbourhood Officers
- Be able to provide up to 2 hours per week of their time
