Quantity Surveyor/Trainee Quantity Surveyor Full Time

RD Nairn Ltd are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor / Trainee Quantity Surveyor to assist in the delivery of Civil Engineering and Groundworks projects across the South of Scotland and Cumbria.

The ideal candidate would hold formal qualifications or be working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar and be able to work partly unsupervised in the management of your own project, although full support will be provided.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

The key aspects of the role include:

·        The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts

·        Submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates

·        Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions

·        Subcontract Procurement

·        Subcontract Payments, variations and final accounts

·        Submission of budget and cost reports

As a successful candidate you should:

Be able to manage your own time with minimal supervision
Possess good communication skills,
Be highly organised and able to work as part of a team
Hold a full UK driving licence
